Dodi was founded on the premise that the current approach to manufacturing isn’t working.
Most cabinets are mass produced in large factories to save costs and increase margins. Then, cabinets are shipped to Big Box stores from across the US or overseas, taking weeks or months and increasing CO2 emissions.
What are the consequences? Fewer jobs in local communities, an environment that suffers, and you can’t get the custom cabinets you want without waiting months.

Our web design app with Kitchen Physics™ allows homeowners and contractors to personalize their cabinets while seeing real-time pricing.
Once a design is locked, production kicks into gear. Our app integrates into the machinery on our production floor to quickly manufacture cabinets with minimal errors. Our team closely manages the process to ensure all goes smoothly.
And, since we manufacture locally, there’s no delays or damage from shipping.
The result? Contractors and homeowners can get their remodeling projects done faster, and with less problems while supporting the community.
Our Founders
May and Mike are entrepreneurs at heart and long-term Bay Area residents. They have decades of tech and computer gaming experience in software engineering, finance, and operations. Make sure to ask Mike about Farmville! In the last several years, they took their expertise and passion for home remodeling and invested in a project that has become DodiHome.
After buying and remodeling multiple homes over two decades, May and Mike were drawn to kitchen remodels. The kitchen is the heart and soul of your home, where family and friends come together to eat, laugh, and create memories. In 2017 May and Mike started M&M Trading Company in Butte, Montana, and May became a licensed contractor.
Through their first few kitchen remodels, they quickly realized there was potential to improve the overall process. They saw how pivotal kitchen cabinets are to kitchen remodels and the frustration homeowners and contractors experience. Frustration from poor control and choice in cabinet design, quality, and delivery delays.
By learning from over two hundred remodels and applying their tech and operations knowledge, May and Mike created a better way to manufacture kitchen cabinets. This better way uses software to integrate Design, Order, Delivery, and Installation best practices. Or DODI for short.
Soon after, May and Mike asked Angus to join them as the third co-founder. May and Angus worked a decade ago to develop and launch a successful software automation product. May and Mike brought Angus on to help grow and scale Dodi. Angus is passionate about marketing and sales, building phenomenal teams, and delighting customers.
